Tucson

Tucson's first tram, Sun Link, opened on July 25, 2014. It runs from the University of Arizona to Mercado via the Main Gate business district, historic Fourth Avenue, and the downtown area. That makes it a mainstay of the city's economic, social, and cultural life, all now wheelchair-accessible.

RATP Dev was chosen from the outset to maintain and operate the line. Well before the July 2014 inauguration, teams from RATP Dev's American subsidiary worked closely with the Tucson authorities. In particular, they hired and trained staff to ensure the best possible service from day one.

Ocala

The team at Ocala (SunTran) worked with the local TPO to identify route issues and find solutions to bring SunTran to a higher level of service while also positioning for future growth.  An analysis of the system identified underperforming routes, an outdated interlined route system and a decline in ridership.  After extensive planning and community outreach, a complete route realignment was implemented while adding new routes to underserviced areas in Ocala to increase and restore ridership.

Buncombe County

RATP Dev was selected in 2011 to provide fixed-route and door-to-door ADA paratransit service for Buncombe County, NC. Buncombe County’s public transportation service, Mountain Mobility, is a fully coordinated door-to-door paratransit service. Mountain Mobility provides transportation for medical, employment, education, day program, senior center, shopping, and multipurpose/personal business needs throughout Buncombe County. RATP Dev has successfully met urban and rural transportation needs while maintaining efficiency and excellent on-time performance.

County of Volusia

Votran is trying to reduce turnovers by implementing the RADAR initiative for attrition reduction.  Providing extra training when needed and ensuring supervisors are available to listen to driver concerns and ideas improves communication and retention. Adjustments to the new labor agreement contract as well as new incentive programs for all union and non-union members have increased morale.  New bus & coaches will reduce labor, fuel, and maintenance costs, while increasing operational efficiencies.

Taveres

RATP Dev works with Corporate HR, Local Goodwill and Career Source of Florida to find qualified operators to hire and retain skilled operators.

Edmond

  • RATP Dev facility provides Edmond a closer transfer point and easy access to maintenance.
  • Eliminated reliance on an overtaxed fleet maintenance department.
  • Substantially decreased deadhead time and miles.
  • RATP Dev building offers improved amenities to employees to increase socialization and morale – fostering a “family” environment.
  • Positive impact on the revenue stream.

City of Augusta

RATP Dev established a conducted six-person transition team to complete outstanding activities within five days. Today, RATP Dev delivers end-to-end operational expertise including human resources, vehicle preventative maintenance plans, customer support, and management oversight while working closely with city staff to support transit service enhancements or service modifications.

RATP Dev provides a fixed-route, ADA compliant paratransit service in the city of Augusta and demand response services in Richmond County, GA, outside the city limits of Augusta.

Santa Maria

In addition to the Operations & Maintenance contract, the City of Santa Maria awarded a contract in the amount of some $69K per year for bus stop janitorial and maintenance activities at its ~250 bus stops. Rather than hiring service workers to perform these tasks in-house, RATP Dev partnered with PathPoint, a local non-profit that helps low-income individuals with developmental disabilities to overcome barriers to employment, place them in jobs, and provide them with the training and support they need to keep jobs.

Bloomington

RATP Dev's local General Manager provided project management services to lead BPTC, the City of Bloomington, Monroe County, and BT through the entire construction project lifecycle. As the project lead, RATP Dev managed the working relationship with all involved parties, particularly FTA, and coordinated the filing of all required reports as well as all elements of the grant administration.
