RATP Dev USA, a subsidiary of leading public transport company RATP Dev, is thrilled to announce the award of a significant new contract to manage the Visalia transit system in California. This five-year contract, which includes the potential for five additional option years, begins on October 1st, 2024, and represents a major milestone for the company, marking its largest contract in the state. 

This new achievement builds on RATP Dev's earlier success in May with the Winston-Salem Transit Authority in North Carolina. These two victories perfectly align with the strategic development plan and bolster RATP Dev's national presence.

RATP Dev USA expands in California: launching innovative transit solutions and advancing sustainability in Visalia

Under the new agreement, RATP Dev USA will oversee 85 vehicles and provide a diverse range of services, including fixed route, paratransit, commuter, park shuttle, and a brand-new microtransit service. The system will be supported by a dedicated team of 165 employees, furthering RATP Dev USA’s commitment to providing quality transit services that enhance quality of life.


This contract enables RATP Dev USA to bring its expertise in delivering safe, reliable, and innovative transportation services to Visalia.
It further strengthens the company’s expanding presence in California and supports the state's environmental objectives. Committed to reducing transportation emissions, RATP Dev USA will promote alternative fuels and adopt green technologies, playing a key role in advancing sustainable transportation in the region.
