The iconic Hong Kong tram network, known for its successful blend of tradition and modernity, celebrates its 120th anniversary. Operated by Hong Kong Tramways, a subsidiary of RATP Dev, the Hong Kong tram is nicknamed affectionately Ding Ding and known by its cat mascot.
Serving Hong Kong since 1904, Ding Ding transports today 150,000 passengers daily in one of the world’s densest cities, and is an environmentally-friendly mode of transport. With its fleet of 165 cars, Hong Kong Tramways operates the world’s largest fleet of double-decker tramcars in operation – including two antique party tramcars, a unique “TramOramic Tour” sightseeing tramcar, and a one-of-a-kind Tram No.18 for premium social gathering experiences.
